5.2.1 Error Recovery Procedures
Table 5-1 gives error recovery instructions for errors reported on the front panel.
This list includes procedures that should only be performed by a qualified service
technician.

A Run the cleaning cartridge. See Chapter 3 - Regular
Maintenance
B Change the cartridge. It may be damaged or incorrectly
formatted.
B3 Inspect cartridge. Check for damage and leader
alignment. See Chapter 2 - Operation, Tape
Requirements.

Disable cartridge write-protect switch.

Cycle power to the drive using the AC switch on the front
panel of the module. Wait 30 seconds to power on again.

Turn off power to the module and inspect connectors and
cables.

Turn off power to the module and check cabling to the
DLT drives. Inspect the cables and connectors.

Check cabling and configuration. See Chapter 4 -
Configuration., and Appendix B - Installation.

Run Diagnostic (x).
F Invalid operation. Select parameters correctly and try
again.
