Following is a description of the fields on the GBIC tab:
Identifier Indicates the type of serial transceiver, which can be
GBIC or on-board.
Connector Indicates the external connector type, which can be
one of the following:
•SC
• BNC/TNC
•Coaxial
ID Name Indicates the GBIC module type:
• -- No GBIC present
• sw Short wave GBIC
• lw Long wave GBIC
• swid Short wave serial ID GBIC
• lwid Short wave serial ID GBIC
• cuid Short wave serial ID GBIC
GBIC Speed Indicates the GBIC speed, which can be 100, 200, or
400 MB/sec.
GBIC Media Indicates the transmission media, which can be:
•SM Single mode
• M5 Multi-mode, 50u
• M6 Multi-mode, 62.5u
• TV Video coax
• MI Miniature coax
• TP Shielded twisted pair
• TW Twin axial pair
