Install and configure the disk array
The HP ser vice representative performs these tasks:
• Assembling hardware and installing software
• Loading the
microcode updates
• Installing and formatting devices
• Configuring array groups and creating LD EVs
After these tasks are finished, use Remote Web Console, Command View, Command View XP Advanced
Edition, o
rLUNConfiguration and Security Mana ger to complete the remaining tasks listed below. For

For optim
al performance, the following recommendations apply when configuring any XP disk array
with a T ru64 host:
• Sharing of CHA (channel adapter) microprocessors is not recommended
• Multiple
host groups sharing the same CHA port is not recommended
NOTE:
As illustrated in the following table, there is no microprocessor s haring with 8–port module pairs. With
16– and 32–port module pairs, al ternating ports are shared.
