Replacing the Motherboard
CAUTION:
The motherboard contains static sensitive components. Use ESD
precautions when handling the motherboard.
Removing the Motherboard
1. Remove the cover from the Switch, the GBICs from the interface cards ,
and then remove the interface cards.
2. Remove the CPU caard.
3. Remove the rear interface card mounting bracket.
4. Remove the fan assembly.
5. Disconnect the motherboard power connector (Figure 3-9, item 1).
6. Remove the screws securing the motherboard and carefully lift the
motherboard from the chassis.
Installing the Motherboard
Reverse the removal procedure to install a new motherboard.
