Array Conguration Utility (ACU) overview
The Array Conguration Utility (ACU) is a browser-based tool used to congure an array controller and
its storage. The ACU
The ACU is supported for use in Windows, Linux, and NetWare environments and can run locally
through a br
owser, remotely through HP Systems Insight Manager (HP-SIM), or ofine from the MSA
Support So
ftware CD.
The ACU:
Runs online in Windows and Linux environments.
Runs ofin
e (from a bootable CD) in other ProLiant server environments such as NetWare.
Provides a graphical view of HP drive array congurations.
Includes easy-to-use conguration Wizards.
Provides
different operating modes, enabling faster conguration or greater control over the
congura
tion options.
Suggests the optimum conguration for uncongured systems.
Displays on-screen tips for individual steps of a conguration procedure.
Allows t
hesettingofaccessprivilegestospecic storage LUNs to be limited to specichosts.
Supports online array capacity expansion, logical drive extension, assignment of online spares, and
RAID or stripe size migration
NOTE:
For opti
mum performance, the minimum display settings are 800 × 600 resolution and 256 colors.
Server
s running Microsoft operating systems require Internet Explorer 5.5 (with Service Pack 1) or later.
