Connecting Internal Hard Drives to a SCSI
Controller Option or Smart Array Controller
Many configurations are possible when adding SCSI controllers. This section
outlines the procedure for connecting internal hard drives to a SCSI controller
option or a Smart Array Controller and assumes that the controller option or
Smart Array Controller is already installed.
1. If hard drives are not already installed, follow the steps in the sections
“Installation and Removal Guidelines for SCSI Hard Drives” and
“Expansion Slots” in Chapter 3.
2. Locate the SCSI cable that is connected to the Server Feature Board
SCSI controller channel A.
