3. Place the processor into the processor socket.
IMPORTANT: The small triangular directional marker should be in the upper left corner of
the chip.
4. Lower the lever to lock the processor unit into place.
5. Secure the heatsink retainer clip to the hook on the processor.
6. Secure the opposite side of the heatsink retainer clip to the hook on the
opposite side of the processor

7. Install the PPMs before powering up the server. See “Installing a
Second Processor Power Module (PPM)” later in this chapter.
