Removing a Non-Hot-Plug Hard Drive from a
Non-Hot-Plug Drive Cage
To remove a 3.5-inch non-hot-plug hard drive from a non-hot-plug drive cage:
CAUTION: Before removing the access panel, make sure that the server is
powered down, all cables are disconnected from the server, and the power cord
is disconnected from the grounded (earthed) AC outlet.
1. Follow the steps in “Removing the Access Panel” earlier in this chapter.
2. Disconnect the power cable and data cable from the back of the hard
drive.
