To install a half-height or full-height media device:
1. Power down the server (on page 25).
2. Do one of the following:
o Open or remove the tower bezel, as needed ("Open or remove the tower bezel" on page 26).
o Extend the server from the rack (on page 25).
3. Remove the access panel (on page 27).
4. Remove the media bay blank (on page 28).
5. Install the guide screws ("Identifying guide screws" on page 62), if applicable.
6. Slide the drive about three-fourths of the way into the bay, leaving room to connect cables at the
back of the drive.
o Half-height device
o Full-height device
7. Connect the data and power cables to the rear of the device.
