Networking for UnixWare
The Networking products are a comprehensive set of products to support the connection of a UNIX Server to Wide Area
Network (WAN) or a Local Area Network (LAN). LAN connection is over both OSI Networks and TCP/IP networks
The OSI products add reliable, scaleable Open Systems communications facilities that enable a UNIX server to
interwork with OSI systems from ICL, FUJITSU and OEMs over X.25 Wide Area Networks, OSI Local Area Networks
or TCP/IP networks.
The products are packaged on a CD-ROM and activated by licence key. The following Operating Systems and platforms
are supported:

Networking Facilities
OSI for X.25 WAN offers ISO Transport services over X.25 Wide Area Networking supporting V.24 and X.21,
together with Host and Terminal PAD, OSI Higher Layers Services, and configuration tools.
OSI for LAN offers ISO Transport services over Ethernet, FDDI and Token Ring Local Area Networks, together with
Host and Terminal PAD, OSI Higher Layers Services, and configuration tools.
OSI for TCP/IP offers ISO Transport over TCP/IP networking for Ethernet, FDDI and Token Ring Local Area
Networks, and OSI Higher Layers Services, with Configuration tools.
Open Transport Relay (OTR) Version 3 is a UNIX based software product which allows distributed applications to
interwork transparently over TCP/IP, OSI for LAN, OSI for X.25 WAN and OSI over TCP/IP networks.
Networking Adapters
FDDI : A DAS adapter for connection to a resilient FDDI dual ring.
Fast Ethernet : The Intel 10/100 MBit PCI Ethernet Pro100+ adapter is available.
Token Ring : The Olicom PCI Token Ring Adapter (OC-3137) is available.
P92 WAN adapter : Dual port V.24 and X.21 operating at speeds up to 2Mbps.
