Disks for Expansion Module What to order
4 GB 1” 7200rpm SCA Ultra2/LVD SCSI SV565054
9 GB 1” 7200rpm SCA Ultra2/LVD SCSI SV565060
18GB 1” 7200rpm SCA Ultra2/LVD SCSI SV565061
18GB 1.6” 7200rpm SCA Ultra2/LVD SCSI SV565056
9GB 1” 10000rpm SCA Ultra2/LVD SCSI SV565063
18GB 1” 10000rpm SCA Ultra2/LVD SCSI SV565064
Maximum 8 x 18GB disks in disk node.
For RAID systems, order PCI RAID Card SV521036.
Do not mix 10,000 and 7200 rpm disks on the same RAID
controller. NB. For RAID 5 configurations it is
recommended that the disks are all of the same capacity
e.g. All 4GB, 9GB or 18GB disks.
The Fujitsu Disk Node can contain up to eight disks. Note that SCA disks which are
suitable for a System Node can be used in a Disk Node and vice-versa: see the tables
below. A maximum of ten Disk Nodes can be fitted into a rack.
The rack-mount Disk Node includes a power supply and two fans. A redundant power
supply can be added without decreasing the number of drive bays. The redundant fan
is already provided.
Disk Node Options What to order
Ultra-Wide Single Ended Disk Node SV657030
Redundant PSU for Disk node (Each PSU requires a separately orderable mains cable) SV657013
Hot Swap Replacement Fan SV578136
Connectivity is determined by the number of free PCI slots in the
System Node.
•
Using single-channel Adaptec 2940UW SCSI cards, 1 Disk
Node may be connected to each card.
•
Using dual-channel Mylex eXtremeRAID cards, up to 2 Disk
Nodes may be connected to each card.
