Checking Device Status and I/O Activity
The device status region of the device display (see Figure 4–2, upper right) shows the
name and I/O characteristics for all of the devices that the controller recognizes.
Table 4–11 lists the heading and contents for each column of the device status region.

Port SCSI ports 1 through 6.
Target SCSI targets 0 through 15. Single controllers occupy 7; dual-redundant controllers
occupy 6 and 7.
D = disk drive or CD-ROM drive
F = foreign device
H=this controller
h = other controller in dual-redundant configurations
P = passthrough device
? = unknown device type
= no device at this port/target location
