Connecting the Network Cable
!
WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, or
damage to the equipment, do not plug a telephone cable into
the RJ-45 jack.
1. Plug either end of the network cable into the RJ-45 jack .
2. Plug the other end of the cable to the Ethernet network jack .
Turning a LAN Connection On and Off
■ To conserve power, you can turn a LAN connection off and on
as you work.
To turn off a LAN connection—
1. Log off the network.
2. Select StartÅSettingsÅControl PanelÅNetworkÅ
PropertyÅAdvanced tab, then select Disable the
LAN Card.
To turn on a LAN connection—
1. Select StartÅSettingsÅControl PanelÅNetworkÅ
PropertyÅAdvanced tab, then select Enable the LAN Card.
2. Log on to the network.
