3.2 Installing WEBES

Note
When you install WEBES and its subproducts into a TruCluster environment, the
installation prompts do not allow you to change the default installation directory. This
is required for proper operation.
The WEBES default installation directory is /usr/opt/compaq. You may
change this to another directory if you prefer. The required disk space
is 61000 Kilobytes, allowing for kit expansion during the installation
process.
4. Enter or confirm the directory in which to install WEBES:

(The three paragraphs about DSNlink appear only if DSNlink is not detected.)
DSNlink is not currently installed on this system. If you continue this
installation now, the tools in this kit will function well. However,
important Compaq Support Center capabilities of the WEBES Suite may be
disabled or degraded. These capabilities can reduce the impact of
problems to your system operations.
Examples of these remote capabilities include:
1. Automatic service call initiation upon problem detection
2. Remote operation of diagnostic tools by Customer Support Center
personnel
3. Remote automatic diagnosis of symptoms using current databases.
If you decide to complete this installation now and then install DSNlink
later, you will have to uninstall all WEBES products in this suite,
install DSNlink, and then reinstall WEBES tools with this suite.
Beginning configuration processing.
Please update the following configuration information.
Please note that the Company Address has three fields as this was
intended to allow an address style of output.
You may perform any one of the following for the questions.
1. Press the RETURN key to accept the default value
2. Enter the keyword null to blank the current value
3. Enter a value
5. Enter or confirm your customer information. Your Compaq Analyze Automatic Call
Handling System (ACHS) contact is the email address that ACHS should contact after
logging a call when a system error is detected:
