2.3.2 Determining Which Tools are Installed
On any system that you are unsure about, you can determine what parts of WEBES are
installed as follows.
Compaq Analyze
Compaq Analyze is installed if you have the following file on your system:
{
WEBES install directory
}\config\ConfigDefaultsCAWindows.txt
CCAT
CCAT is installed if you have the following file on your system:
{
WEBES install directory
}\config\ConfigDefaultsCCAT.txt
RCM
RCM appears as a separate kit. Go to Start | Settings | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs
to see if you have Compaq RCM Data Collector listed.
2.3.3 Determining Which Versions are Installed
To determine what versions of WEBES and its component tools are installed, open and read
the text files shown in Table 2–2.
Comparing versions can help troubleshoot situations where a tool might be left over from a
previous installation. For example, if you see all 3.1 version numbers except for one
component showing 2.1, you probably have an old component that was never uninstalled, and
you did not choose to install that component during the upgrade.
