Parallel Cable Specifications and Attachments
Parallel Cable
Many printing problems are caused by poor quality cables. To ensure
best quality performance use an IEEE-1284 compliant parallel cable
between the printer and computer. Only IEEE-1284 cables support all
of the advanced printing capabilities, like bi-directional communication.
These cables will be clearly marked with “IEEE-1284.”
Your can purchase a two-meter cable (part number C2950A) or a
three-meter cable (part number C2951A) directly from Hewlett-Packard
or from an authorized HP dealer
