3.10.2 Updating Firmware from Floppy Disk — Creating
the Diskettes
Create the update diskettes before starting LFU. See Section 3.10.3 for an
example of the update procedure.

To update system firmware from floppy disk, you first must create the firmware
update diskettes. You will need to create two diskettes: one for console updates, and
one for I/O.
1. Download the update files from the Internet.
2. On a PC, copy files onto two FAT-formatted diskettes as shown in Table 3–1.
3. From an OpenVMS system, copy files onto two ODS2-formatted diskettes as
shown in Example 3–12.
