NOTE:
Four (4), eight (8) and twelve (12) hard drives models are supported standard via BTO. Eight (8) and
twelve (12) hard drive model support requires the addition of a Smart Array or HBA controller. Hot Plug and SAS
functionality require the addition of a Smart Array or HBA controller.

To enable RAID on Embedded SATA, use the HP Smart Array B110i SATA Raid controller, To enable use of the
B110i, enter the ROM based setup utility(RBSU). The option for enabling RAID can be found in the Advanced section of
the RBSU

Eight (8) 3.5" Large Form Factor (LFF) hot-plug drive bays supporting up to 6Gb/s SAS or 3Gb/s SATA transfer
rate.
Twelve (12) 3.5" Large Form Factor (LFF) hot-plug drive bays supporting up to 3Gb/s SAS or 3Gb/s SATA
transfer rate.
Optional drive bays:
Twenty Five (25) 2.5" Small Form Factor (SFF) hot-plug drive bays supporting up to 6Gb/s SAS or 3Gb/s SATA
transfer rate.
Eight (8) 2.5" Small Form Factor (SFF) hot-plug drive bays supporting up to 6Gb/s SAS or 3Gb/s SATA transfer
rate.
Rear Two (2) 3.5" Large Form Factor (LFF) hot-plug drive bays to use with 12LFF bays supporting up to 3Gb/s
SAS or 3Gb/s SATA transfer rate. NOTE: Full Height/ Full Length Riser Option is not available when the Rear
2LFF drive bays is selected for the system.
NOTE:
All Hard drive bay options except 4LFF require HP Smart Array P410 or P212 controller. NOTE: To
achieve highest possible stated transfer rate please make sure the firmware on the drive bays (backplanes) and HP
Smart Array controller up to date. Latest firmware are available to download from HP support web site.
