Cabling the Server

1. Connect the power cords and peripheral devices, such as the keyboard,

mouse, and monitor. Tie-wrap the AC cord to the loop provided on the

power cord connector to prevent the cord from accidental

disengagement.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the equipment:

■ Install the power supply before connecting the power cord.

■ Unplug the power cord before removing the power supply from the server.

■ If the system has multiple power supplies, disconnect power from the

system by unplugging all power cords from the power supplies.

■ Leave the power cord grounding plug in place. The grounding plug is an

important safety feature.

■ Plug the power cord into a grounded (earthed) electrical outlet that is

easily accessible at all times.
