You must label the disks before you install cluster software.
4.10.4 Label the Disks to Be Used to Create the Cluster
Before you run clu_create to create the first cluster member or
clu_add_member to add subsequent cluster members, you must label the
disks to be used for cluster software.
On the system where you installed the Tru64 UNIX operating system, if you
have not already done so, boot the system. Determine the /dev/disk/dskn
values to use for cluster installation (see Table A-2 or Table 4-2).
Initialize disk labels for all disks needed to create the cluster. The example
uses disks dsk74 (cluster root (/)), dsk75 (/usr), dsk76 (/var), and dsk77
(Quorum). For example:
# disklabel -z dsk74
disklabel: Disk /dev/rdisk/dsk74c is unlabeled
# disklabel -rw dsk74
4.10.5 Install the TruCluster Server Software and Create the First
Cluster Member
After labeling the disks, use the TruCluster Server Cluster Installation
procedures for your version of the operating system and install the
TruCluster Server software on the first cluster member (the system where
you just installed Tru64 UNIX).
After installing the TruCluster Server software subsets, runthe clu_create
command to create the first cluster member using the procedures in the
TruCluster Server Cluster Installation manual.
4.10.6 Add an Additional System to the Cluster
To add an additional system to the cluster, follow these steps:

You can have up to eight member systems in a cluster, but only
four systems can be connected to the MSA1000.
