1 Peripheral device LUN addressing (PDLA) mode is used by all
operating systems supporting the MSA1000 except HP-UX. In
PDLA mode, the units are numbered starting with 1, but the first
LUN is 2.
Volume set addressing (VSA) mode is used by HP-UX. The unit and
LUN are numbered the same.
For Tru64 UNIX, PDLA mode is used.
2 The Unit Identifier (Unit ID) is assigned the same number as the
LUN.
3 The Device Identifier for the logical volume. It is equivalent to the
node WWN and port WWN. It is assigned by the MSA1000.
4 The MSA1000 is enabled to use cache, which is the default.
5 Max Boot Partition is ignored by all operating systems except
Windows.
6 Describes the current condition of the volume.
7 Provides the parity or mirror status, depending on the RAID level
selected. Parity calculation does not start until the first write is
