Technical data
To set up storage for a Tru64 UNIX and TruCluster Server configuration
using storage as shown in Table 4-2, follow these steps:
1. Change the MSA1000 prompt if you want to. You can use up to 25
alphanumeric characters. The
SET PROMPT command shown in
Example 4-3 changes the MSA1000 prompt to MSA1000-1> .
Example 4-3: Changing the MSA1000 Controller Prompt
CLI> SET PROMPT "MSA1000-1"
MSA1000-1>
____________________ Note _____________________
Do not add the right angle bracket (〉) and space to the
command; they are added by the set prompt command.
2. The MSA1000 creates a connection for each Fibre Channel host bus
adapter connected. Use the SHOW CONNECTIONS CLI command to verify
each of the connections as shown in Example 4-4. Find a connection
with a worldwide node name (WWNN) and worldwide port name
(WWPN) that matches each of the Fibre Channel host bus adapters in
the configuration with the MSA1000. Record the WWPNs in Table A-1.
Example 4-4: Displaying the MSA1000 Connections
MSA1000-1> SHOW CONNECTIONS

Host WWNN = 20000000-C927242E 2
