Installing and Configuring the HS-Series Agent 4–9
Final System Configuration
26. Do one of the following:
If you are running the Agent in cluster, select option y. The software is configured
to scan the SCSI-bus for subsystems at startup.
If you are not running the Agent in a cluster, select option n. The software is
configured to look at the storage.ini file at startup time. The storage.ini file contains
the listing of your subsystems.
NOTE: Compaq recommends that if you are running Tru64 UNIX 5.1x, especially within a fabric,
configure the software to scan the SCSI-bus at startup. When asked if running the Agent in a
cluster, answer y.
The system starts the new Agent.
27. Enter the following and press the Enter key to unmount the CD-ROM:
# cd /
# umount /mnt
The following instructions assume that you have a directory /mnt to which you can mount
the CD-ROM. If you do not, you must create a mount point and replace /mnt in the
following sequence with the mount point you created. It also assumes your CD-ROM
device is /dev/rz4c. If not, replace /dev/rz4c with the actual CD-ROM device.
IMPORTANT: Before you install the Agent, complete the steps in “Before You Install the Agent.”
1. Obtain the following information:
Names of systems you want the Agent to contact
Names of subsystems connected to the host
Email addresses for the Agent to send status updates
2. Insert the CD-ROM into a computer.
3. Enter one of the following commands at the command prompt:
For V4.0x enter:
# mount -r-t cdfs -o rrip /dev/rz6c /mnt
(Substituting rz6c if necessary for your CD-ROM)
For V5.1x enter:
# mount -r-t cdfs /dev/disk/cdrom0c /mnt
(Substituting cdrom0c if necessary for your CD-ROM)
