Responding. Check cables or replace the
following SCSI drives: SCSI Port (y):

Select to continue - drive array will
remain disabled.
Select to failed drives that are not
responding - Interim Recovery Mode will be
enabled if configured for fault tolerance.
This message indicates that previously
operating drives are missing or inoperative
following a cold or warm reset. Turn off system
and check cable connections. If cables are
connected, replace the drive. Press to restart
the computer with the drive array disabled.

If you do not want to replace the drives now,

: Message 1788 might also be displayed inadvertently due to a bad power cable connection to the
drive or a defective SCSI cable. If this message was due to a bad power cable connection, repair the
connection and press . If this message is not eliminated by pressing , run the Drive Array Advanced
Diagnostics Utility.

If this message was not due to a bad power cable connection, and the drive was not replaced, this could
indicate a defective SCSI cable. Contact your Authorized Compaq Service Provider.
