Changing the default address and IRQ settings for the Serial
and LPT Port can cause conflicts with other installed
peripherals
Port Definition – This field allows you to configure the
Notebook's LPT Port transmission mode.
The following options are available:
z Standard
z Bidirectional
z Enhanced Parallel Port (EPP)
z Extended Capabilities (ECP)
EPP and ECP are bidirectional modes, allowing both data
input and output. The EPP and ECP modes are only
supported with EPP- and ECP-aware peripherals.
DMA Setting for ECP Mode – This field is only available
when the Port Definition is set to ECP.
The following options are available:
z DMA 1
z DMA 3
The default value for this field is: DMA 1
