Usingtheacpoweradapter
Thepowertorunyourcomputercancomeeitherfromthelithium-ion(Li-ion)batterypackofyourcomputer,
orfromacpowerthroughtheacpoweradapter.Whileyouuseacpower,thebatterychargesautomatically.
Theacpoweradapterthatcomeswithyourcomputerhastwobasiccomponents:
•Thetransformerpackthatconvertsacpowerforusewiththecomputer.
•Thepowercordthatplugsintotheacoutletandintothetransformerpack.
Attention:Usinganimproperpowercordcouldcauseseveredamagetoyourcomputer.
Connectingtheacpoweradapter
Toconnecttheacpoweradapter,dothefollowing:
Note:Ensurethatyouperformtheactionsintheorderinwhichtheyarelisted.
1.Connectthepowercordtoanelectricaloutlet.
2.Connectthepowercordtothetransformerpack.
3.Connecttheacpoweradaptertothepowerjackofthecomputer.
Tipsonusingtheacpoweradapter
Youcancheckthestatusofyourbatteryatanytimebylookingatthebatterymeteratthebottomofyour
display.
•Whentheacpoweradapterisnotinuse,disconnectitfromtheelectricaloutlet.
•Donotbindthepowercordtightlyaroundtheacpoweradaptertransformerpackwhenitisconnectedto
thetransformer.
•Beforeyouchargethebattery,makesurethatitstemperatureisatleast10°C(50°F).
•Youcanchargethebatterywhentheacpoweradapterisconnectedtothecomputerandthebatteryis
installed.Youneedtochargethebatteryinanyofthefollowingconditions:
–Whenyoupurchaseanewbattery
–Whenthebatterymeteratthebottomofyourdisplayshowsthatthebatterypowerremainingislow.
–Ifthebatteryhasnotbeenusedforalongtime
Chargingthebattery
Whenyoucheckbatterystatusandndthatthepercentageofpowerremainingisloworwhenthepower
alarmalertsyouthattheremainingpowerislow,youneedtochargeyourbatteryorreplaceitwitha
chargedbattery.
Ifanacoutletisconvenient,plugtheacpoweradapterintoit,andtheninsertthejackintothecomputer.
Thebatterywillbefullychargedinaboutthreetosixhours.Thisisaffectedbythebatterysizeandthe
physicalenvironment.Thebatterystatusindicatorwillletyouknowthatthebatteryischarging,andwill
alsonotifyyouwhenthebatteryisfullycharged.
Note:Tomaximizethelifeofthebattery,thecomputerdoesnotstartrechargingthebatteryiftheremaining
powerisgreaterthan95%.
