Thissectionprovidesinformationaboutnotebookmode.Youcanusethecomputerinnotebookmodein
scenariosthatrequireusingakeyboardandamouse,suchaseditingdocumentsandwritinge-mails.
Attention:Donotrotatethecomputerdisplaywithtoomuchforce,otherwisethecomputerdisplayor
hingesmightbedamaged.Donotapplytoomuchforcetotheupper-rightorupper-leftcornerofthe
computerdisplay.

Note:Yourcomputermightlookslightlydifferentfromtheillustrationinthistopic.
Innotebookmode,thekeyboard,theThinkPadtrackpad,andtheTrackPointpointingstickareautomatically
enabled.
Bydefault,theautorotatefeatureisenabled.Toavoidundesiredscreenrotation,pressthescreenrotation
lockbuttontodisabletheautorotatefeature.Forinstructionsonhowtousethebutton,referto“Usingthe

.Afteryoupressthescreenrotationlockbutton,theautorotatefeatureisdisabled
andtheautorotate-offindicatorisdisplayedonyourscreen.
Standmode

thatrequirelimitedinteractionwiththescreen,suchasviewingphotosandplayingvideos.
