Installinganewoperatingsystem
Ifyouinstallanewoperatingsysteminyourcomputer,youneedtoinstallthesupplementlesandThinkPad
devicedriversforitatthesametime.Formoreinformation,see“Installingdevicedrivers”onpage68.
Beforeyouinstalltheoperatingsystem,printtheinstructionsyouwilluse.

•TheUEFIBIOSfeaturesaresupportedonlyonthe64-bitversionoftheWindows7andWindows8
operatingsystem.
•BesuretosetapreferredsettingfortheUEFI/LegacyBootoptioninThinkPadSetup.
•Afterinstallingthenewoperationsystem,youshouldnotchangetheinitialUEFI/LegacyBootsettingin
ThinkPadSetup.TheUEFI/LegacyBootsettingmustbethesameasitwaswhentheWindowsoperating
