2. ABC
Press a number key ( - ) repeatedly until the
desired character appears. Note that there are more
characters available for a key than are printed on the key.
Icons ABC and a b c indicate the selected case. A b c means
that the first letter of the text word is written in upper case, and
all other letters will automatically be written in lower case. To
insert a number in letter mode, press and hold
.
Icon
indicates present letter mode. To switch between
upper case and lower case, press
. If the next letter is
located on the same key as the present one, wait until the
cursor appears, and then key in the letter.
3. Pinyin
Input the corresponding English letter keys that fit the spelling
of a word you want and thus you will see the desired word
displaying on the screen. For example, if you want to use Pinyin
input mode to get “meili” (美麗) you can input the following keys
(one input) (2 consecutive inputs) (3
consecutive inputs)
(2 consecutive inputs) (2
consecutive inputs) to get the word “meili”. Use
to switch
among upper case and lower case.

The most common punctuation marks are available under
. You can press repeatedly to reach the desired
punctuation mark. Press
to open a list of specific
characters. Use the navigation bar to move through the list and

to select a character.
