Safety
Motion Computing Tablet PCs are designed to optimize safety, minimize
strain, and withstand the rigors of portability. However, certain precautions
should be observed to further reduce the risk of personal injury or damage to
the computer. Be certain to read the general precautions below and to note
the cautions included in the text of the User Guide as well as on the
product labels.
BASIC SAFETY WARNING: When using your Tablet PC and accessories, always follow
basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of personal injury, fire, and
electric shock. These include the following:
• Do not use this product near water; for example, near a bathtub,
washing bowl, kitchen sink or laundry tub, in a wet basement, or near
a
swimming pool.
• Avoid using the wired modem or LAN during an electrical storm.
There may be a remote risk of electric shock from lightning.
• The cable used with the modem should be manufactured with a
minimum wire size of 26 American wire gauge (AWG) and an FCC-
compliant RJ-11 modular plug.
• To help avoid the potential hazard of electric shock, do not connect or
disconnect any cables or perform maintenance or reconfiguration of
this product during an electrical storm.
