Air Vent Dash Mount Instructions - Ver 1.2
Call 888-722-5240 with any question about installation during the hours of 8am to 5pm Monday - Friday, Pacific Time
Step 1: After removing the components from the package/carton, you will assemble the two main pieces. On the attachment bracket
there is one rectangular hook that inserts into the matching hole in the device mounting bracket. Slide this firmly into place. NOTE: A
small 3
rd
piece (adapter) is included so that it may connect to other CommuteMate Mounts and Holders.
Step 2: There is a top/bottom to the device mount. The silver hook that attaches on the inside of the air vent is the top and the black
curved support base is at the bottom resting against the bottom of the air vent.
Step 3: Locate which air vent is most suitable for the mount. Place your thumb on the round cylinder and depress the spring-loaded
clip while inserting the metal hook into the vent and slide it over the vent blade. Let the spring loaded clip lock the metal hook onto the
vent blade and your Mount is now in place.
Step 4: The mount, designed for a smartphone or GPS, is fully adjustable. The small rectangular button on the lower left can be
depressed to allow the ratcheting, padded braces to retract. You can squeeze these together when you install your device where the
pads actually grip the unit in place.
Step 5: There is a lower (flip-down) bracket that can easily be flipped into position pressing the lower corners (either) with your thumb.
The bracket flips out and provides a stationary stand for whatever device you wish to support.
Step 6: Adjusting the mount vertically or horizontally: Simply rotate the device (90 degrees) to get your desired position.
Step 7: To remove the entire mount from the dashboard, place your thumb on the round cylinder, reach your finger to pull the spring-
loaded clip off of the vent blade, push the mount towards the front of the vehicle slightly and lift the metal hook up and out of the air
vent.
Warnings:
Do not make adjustments to your device or this mount while you are driving.
Do not let this mount or your device block your view in any way.
Make sure the device is secure before driving by tightening the adjuster firmly.
