Attach the controller to a 19” rack inside the equipment shelter using the #10 hardware included with the device. 2. Attach the AISG cable from the antennas to the controller. Up to three separate cables can be attached to the controller at one time. Any of the three connectors can be used if fewer than three cables are to be attached.

Attach the USB to 10/100 Mbps fast Ethernet Adapter to one of the USB ports on the front of the Remote Controller and connect an Ethernet cable with RJ45 connectors between the Adapter and the laptop. Note: The USB to 10/100 T Ethernet Adapter is not supplied with the controller. Use a TrendNet TU-ET100C or equivalent product. Use a standard Ethernet Crossover Cable with RJ45 plugs (supplied with unit) 4.

Enter the number of AISG remote devices connected to the corresponding connector to reduce the search time and press “Start”. Fill-out each of the above mentioned categories and select “Save Values” to continue. This will save the information to the secondary device for later retrieval. Select “Home” at the top of the page to continue to the next secondary. This information will need to be completed for all attached AISG components.

Select the “Ethernet Connection” button from the home page of the COBRA Remote Controller interface to access the Ethernet Configuration page. 18. The controller will always, on power up or reboot, send a DHCP Discover to the WAN network DHCP server. If the network has a server, it should assign a free IP address to the controller at this time.

Connect the controller to the computer (PC) using an Ethernet crossover cable and a USB adapter (TrendNet TU-ET100C recommended). First plug the USB adapter into one of the USB ports on the controller. Then connect the Ethernet crossover cable to both the PC and the adapter. 2. Place the update files in a convenient location on your PC (‘RemoteUpdate.tar’ and ‘updateEMSSoftware’). 3.

Log in by typing ‘root’ and pressing . 31. Type ‘cd /’. 32. Type ‘updateEMSSoftwarePrep’. This will reboot the controller. 33. Type ‘sync’. 34. Type ‘sync’. 35. Type ‘shutdown –r now’. 36. The controller will restart. Software upload to the controller is complete now.
