Appendix E: DDNS Setup (Advanced)
7 Under Password, enter your DDNS Device password that was emailed to you after DDNS
registration.
8 Click A
pply to save your settings.
Step 4 of 4: Connect to the DVR’s DDNS Address
NOTE: Please allow 10~15 minutes for the DDNS servers to update with your new DDNS address
before attempting to connect.
To connect using the DVR’s DDNS address on a PC:
1 Install the Lorex Stratus Client 1 on a remote computer.
2 Once installation is finished, double-click the Lo
rex Stratus Client 1 icon ( ) from the
desktop. The DVR login screen appears.
Select IP Login
Enter DDNS address
Enter User Name (default: admin)
Enter Password
Enter Client Port (default: 9000)
Click Login
tomsmith.lorexddns.net
3 Under Login Type, select IP Login.
4 Under IP Addr
ess, enter the DVR’s DDNS Address (e.g. tomsmith.lorexddns.net ).

Name, enter the DVR’s user name (default: admin).

sword, enter the password you created when you connected over the local
network.

Port, enter the DVR’s Client Port (default: 9000).
8 Click Login.
To connect using the DVR’s DDNS address on a Mac:
1 Install the Lorex Stratus Client on a remote computer.
2 Open Safa
ri, then click Safari>Quit Safari. This resets Safari to complete the installation.
