Switch and Fuse Label - These labels, as specified in the Report, are
located near each component on the oven chassis inside of the appliance
enclosure, where readily visible before any servicing operation.
INSTRUCTIONS
*User Instructions - A user/operator manual is provided with each oven
detailing the proper use, care and maintenance of the appliance. It also
contains the specific microwave radiation safety precautions described in
Section General. For user’s manuals, refer to Ill. 13.
Serviceman Instructions - A service manual is made available by the
manufacturer for service personnel with instructions provided for service
adjustments and procedures including those involving interlock switches,
servicing of the interlock monitor circuit, and proper replacement of the
monitor fuse and monitor switch. See Section General.
Power Supply Cord – If the appliance utilizes a power supply cord which
measures more than 2 ft (0.6 m) in length but shorter than 4.5 ft (1.4 m) in
length, the following information is to be provided either as a marking or
within the instructions manual.
“A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risks resulting from
becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
Longer cord sets or extension cords are available and may be used if
care is exercised in this use.
If a long cord extension cord is used, (1) the marked electrical rating
of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as the
electrical rating of the appliance, (2) the extension cord must be grounding
type 3 wire cord, and (3) the longer cord should be arranged so that it will
not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by
children or tripped over accidentally."
