Connecting to the Switch
• Direct Connection – Connects directly to the system using the communications
parameters specified.
• Dialing with Modem – Connects to a remote system by issuing commands to the
modem including dialing any digits entered by the installer.
Direct Connection
1. From Switch pull down menu, click
on Connect to…
2. Under User Name, select Installer.
3. Enter the Password. (I*746* is
default)
4. Select Direct Connection.
5. Set Connection Parameters.
6. Click the Connect
button.
[TIP] If the system does not complete
the connect procedure, check the
cable connections, the serial data
settings, and the password. Check that
Caps Lock
has not been turned on for
the PC.
