Digital E1 Board
Part Number: FXE1 (Mexico/Europe) (32 Channel Digital E1 Line Board)
• A synchronization card is required for E1 operation and for E1 PRI applications. Only 1 sync
card is needed. (Please look under Auxiliary Equipment in this section for more information.)
• An E1 Interface allows up to 32 channels of transmission over a single 4-wire cable. Two of
the 32 channels are designated “D” channels or “signaling” channels.
• Thirty of the E1 channels can be allocated for R2MFC protocol (DID, DOD, 2-way lines),
R2DTMF protocol, or digital E & M. Line signaling and tone signaling are supported.
• E1 supports ANI, CLID, answer and disconnect supervision, and pulse metering.
• A customer service unit (CSU) is built into the E1 option board to terminate the E1 channels.
This eliminates the need to install a CSU external to the system.
• Since each board slot in the FX system supports 32 time slots, each E1 board only needs 1
board slot for full 32 channel operation.
NOTE: PRI is not currently supported on public networks in Mexico (private networks only).
