FX II Installation and Application Guidelines
• The FX II can accept the FXT/FXS FXCPU-2 board mounted to the FXSRV-EX as long as it
is at least REVISION P. The FX II cannot support the FXINT-XSRV boards from FXT/FXS
family of SCSI Expansion products.
• You can expand an FXS main cabinet with FX II expansion cabinets. The FXS will need an
FXCPU Rev. P or higher, FXSRV2-II, FXINT-MAUXII, and the FXII-480 software. You
can then add the FX II expansion cabinet(s) with the appropriate expansion kits based upon
the customer's needs.
• To use a single cabinet FX II system with 96 port software in either ISDN or VoIP
Networking, follow these guidelines:
• As a node it can be equipped with the original FXCPU-EX/FXSRV-EX.
• As a hub it will need the FXCPU-2 to replace the FXCPU-EX. You can install it on the
FXSRV-EX.
• Keep in mind that the FX II 96 port system can only have 4 FXNET boards installed so it
may not be utilized as a hub in a large network.
• You need at least 16A 180 software to run VoIP Networking.
• You need at least 17A 190 to install iPrimo phones
