Ringing Assignments
Use this programming area to choose the line ports that you want to ring at a particular
location. Ringing can be Direct, Delayed, or during specific time frames (Day 1, Day 2, and
Night).
Use Direct Ring to choose the line ports that you want to ring as soon as a call appears.
Direct ringing sounds during the Day 1 and Day 2 time periods but does not ring during the
Night ringing mode or during the manual night transfer (of ringing) operation.
Use Delay Ring to choose the line ports that you want to ring at a particular location after
they have rung at the Direct Ring location. Delayed ringing sounds during Day 1, Day 2
time periods, during the Night ringing mode, and during the manual night transfer (of
ringing) operation.
Use Day 1, Day 2, and Night to choose the line ports that you want to ring at a particular
location during these specific time frames.
[TIP]: Before assigning ringing of lines
during Day 1, Day 2, and Night periods you
must establish these time frames in System
Programming/Parameters/Options 1.
1. Select the extension to which you
wish to assign lines to ring in the
Items box in the upper right.
2. Click on a Ring option.
3. Click on the Browse button.
4. From the Lines Available screen,
select the lines and add them to the
Selected Lines side.
5. Click on OK.
