Calling Features
Foryourconvenience,youget12popularcallingfeaturesincludedwithyourXFINITYVoiceservice.Someofthe
followingcallingfeatureswillrequirethatyoucreateaspeciclist(e.g.,prioritylist,blocklist,etc.).Theselists
aredistinctfromoneanotherandwillremainstoredsothateachtimeyouactivateaparticularfeature,itwill
refertothelistorlistsyoucreated.
Universal Caller ID

XFINITY TV Customers — With Universal Caller ID
WithUniversalCallerID,thecaller’sinformationshowsuprightonyourphoneandTVscreen.CallerIDonyour
TVstartstoappearwithinsixhoursofyourserviceinstallation—there’snothingyouneedtodotogetit.Visit

Caller ID
CallerIDallowsyoutoseethenumberand,ifavailable,thenameoftheincomingcaller.Youcanthendecide
whetherornottoanswerthecall.Ifyouchoosenottoanswerthecall,thecallwillbeforwardeddirectlyto
yourvoicemail.SpecialequipmentisrequiredtotakeadvantageofCallerID.Comcastdoesnotprovidethis
equipment.SometypesofcallscannotbedisplayedwithCallerID.
Caller ID with Call Waiting
GetCallerIDinformationwhenyou’realreadyonthephone.WhenyouheartheCallWaitingtone,CallerIDwith
CallWaitingallowsyoutoseethenumberand,whereavailable,thenameofyourincomingcaller.Ifyoudecide
youwanttoanswerthesecondcall,simplypressandreleasetheswitchhookorashbutton.Ifyouchoosenot
toanswerthecall,thecallwillbeforwardeddirectlytoyourvoicemail.Specialequipmentisrequiredtotake
advantageofCallerIDwithCallWaiting.Comcastdoesnotprovidethisequipment.Sometypesofcallscannot
bedisplayedwithCallerIDwithCallWaiting.
Call Forwarding
CallForwardingallowsyoutoforwardallofyourincomingcallstoanotherlocalordomesticlong-distance
numberwhenyou’reawayfromhome.Whilethisfeatureisactive,youwillheara“splashring”onyourphone.
Youwillnotbeabletoansweranycallstoyourhomewhilethefeatureisactive.Ourvoice-servicesnetworkis
comprisedofmultipleplatforms.Asaresult,somefeaturesworkdifferentlydependingontheplatformbeing
usedtoprovideyourXFINITYVoiceservice.BelowaretwopossiblewaysofactivatinganddeactivatingtheCall
Forwardingfeature.
Access Call Forwarding Option 1
1.Liftthereceiverandlistenforthedialtone.
2.Press
andwaittohearthedialtoneagain.
3.Dialthenumberwhereyou’dliketohaveyourcallsforwarded.Remembertodial
and/ortheareacode
beforethenumberifit’snecessarytoplacethecall.
4.Acourtesycallwillbeplacedtothenumber.
5.Ifthepartyanswers,thefeatureisactivated.Ifthenumberisbusyornooneanswers,repeatsteps1-3
withintwominutes,andyouwillhearaconrmationtonethatthefeaturehasbeenactivated.
6.Ifyouwanttochangethe“forwardto”number,cancelthefeature,thenrepeatsteps1-5.
