Place the vehicle lap belt into the

rear-facing belt path.

- Lift and fold front of seat pad back

into car seat to access belt path by

unsnapping front and unhooking

sides of pad (fig. c).

- Place vehicle lap belt into rear-facing belt

path under arms and make sure the lap belt

is not twisted (fig. c).

NOTE: For installation with a vehicle lap and

shoulder belt - place vehicle lap belt

into rear-facing belt path under arms

and shoulder belt outside of seat,

against the vehicle seat back (fig. d).

- Pull lap belt into belt path location identified

with the blue “Lap Belt or LATCH Here” arrows.

- Buckle vehicle seat belt and tighten lap belt to

remove any slack.

Tighten vehicle seat belt to secure the car seat.

- Press down in center of car seat to depress the

vehicle cushion while tightening the vehicle lap

belt (fig. e).

Note: For installation with vehicle lap and

shoulder belt - if the vehicle lap belt

does not remain tightly adjusted around

the car seat a rear-facing belt lock-off

may be required to lock the vehicle lap

belt. See “Rear-facing Belt Lock-off”

section.
