SECTION 4: FIRST AID MEASURES
Call a poison control center immediately for treatment advice. Have the product container or label with you when calling or
going for treatment.
INHALATION: Remove from exposure area to fresh air immediately. Keep affected person warm and at rest. Treat
symptomatically and supportively. If breathing has stopped, give artificial respiration, and get medical attention
immediately.
IF ON SKIN OR CLOTHING: Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of soap and water for 15-
20 minutes. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice if irritation persists.
IF IN EYES: Hold eye open, rinse slowly and gently with water for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present,
after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice if irritation
persists.
INGESTION: Call poison control center immediately for treatment advice. Have person sip a glass of water if able to
swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by the poison control center or doctor. Do not give anything by
mouth to an unconscious person.
NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: The physician's judgement should be used to control symptoms and clinical condition based on
the individual reactions of the patient.

PROTECTION OF FIREFIGHTERS

from fire area if you can do it without risk. Do not scatter spilled material with high-pressure water streams. Dike fire-
control water for later disposal. Use agents suitable for type of surrounding fire. Avoid breathing hazardous vapors, keep
upwind.

Ventilate spill area if possible. Do not touch spilled material. Stop or reduce any leaks if it is safe to do so. Use personal
protective equipment recommended in Section 8. Notify appropriate government, occupational health and safety and
environmental authorities. Keep unnecessary people away; isolate hazard area and restrict entry. Ensure clean-up is
conducted by trained personnel only.
