Failure to eject
Bolt fails to lock after
the last round has fired
- Dirt, corrosion or carbon buildup in the
barrel locking lugs
- Faulty magazine
- Broken ejector spring
- Movement of the buffer is restricted
- Gaps in the bolt rings not staggered
- Carbon or dirt in the interior of the gas key
or on the exterior of the gas tube
- Dirty or corroded bolt latch
- Faulty magazine
- Dirt in the barrel extension
- Clean
- Replace
- Refer to Firearms Technician
- Remove and clean (before assembling the bolt
to the carrier, ensure that the gas tube fits into
the carrier key and that the carrier moves freely
within the upper receiver)
- Stagger the ring gaps
- Clean
