Firearm fails to fire
Bolt won’t unlock
Failure to extract
- Fire control lever on [S]
- Improper assembly of firing pin
- Bolt unlocked
- Excessive amount of oil in firing pin hole
- Defective ammunition
- Too much carbon on firing pin or in firing
pin hole
- Dirty bolt
- Burred bolt
- Broken Extractor Spring
- Dirty or corroded ammunition
- Carbon in chamber
- Fouling or carbon in the extractor recess
or lip
- Move lever to [R]
- Assemble correctly (retaining pin goes to the
rear of the large shoulder of the firing pin)
- Check chamber, barrel, locking lugs and
ammunition
- Clean with pipe cleaner
- Remove and discard
- Clean
- Clean
- Refer to Firearms Technician
- Refer to Firearms Technician
- Remove & discard
- Clean the chamber
- Clean
