Field Stripping [See Figure 6]

WHILE THE UPPER AND LOWER RECEIVER ASSEMBLIES ARE SEPARATED, NEVER

PULL THE TRIGGER WITHOUT CONTROLLING THE HAMMER. THIS CAN CAUSE

SERIOUS DAMAGE TO YOUR FIREARM.

• Prove the firearm safe

and leave the action cocked,

with the bolt carrier group

forward.

• Set the fire control

selector to [S].

• Push the takedown pin [1] all

the way to the right until it

clicks and then pivot the

upper receiver group [2]

upward.

• Pull the charging handle [3]

rearward to expose the

bolt carrier group [4] and

remove it.

• Remove the charging handle

from its guideway.
