IMPORTANT: If you decide to not fire the revolver from the cocked single action position, then lower
the hammer as follows:
c. With your fingers off the trigger and outside the trigger guard, place the thumb of your free
hand between the hammer and frame of the revolver to prevent the hammer from moving
fully forward (Figure 14).
