Safety Instructions

Danger of Injury

❐ ATTENTION! Danger of injury and suffocation! Please keep the

packaging and the appliance out of the reach of children and

pets.

❐ ATTENTION! Danger of scalding! During use, hot steam is pro-

duced. For this reason, do not open the water reservoir cover or

the ﬁ lter compartment cover.

❐ ATTENTION! Burn hazard! Parts of the appliance (e. g. the hot-

plate) and the glas pot become hot during use. Avoid contact

with hot parts of the appliance and only pick up the glas pot by

the handle.

❐ The appliance should not be used if it is damaged.

Health-Speciﬁ c Safety Instructions

❐ ATTENTION! Damage to health as a result of contamination!

Clean the appliance and accessories before they are used for

the ﬁ rst time. Parts of the appliance may have possible produc-

tion residues on them. It is essential that you follow the cleaning

instructions as explained in the chapter "Care and Descaling".

Set-up and Connection

❐ The appliance should only be used in closed rooms.

❐ Do not set up the appliance in rooms which contain highly ﬂ am-

mable liquids, gases or highly ﬂ ammable dust.

❐ Always place the appliance on a dry, level, ﬁ rm and heat-resist-

ant surface.

❐ Maintain a sufﬁ cient distance from heat sources such as hobs or

ovens in order not to damage the appliance.

❐ The appliance should only be connected to a properly installed

socket with earthing contacts. The socket must also be readily ac-

cessible after connection. The mains voltage must be the same as
