Use
CAUTION!
❐ Do not overll the water reservoir. Never pour water into the water reservoir above the
MAX marking!
❐ Never operate the device without water! The pump could be damaged if the device is
operated without water.
❐ The espresso machine has no automatic discharge stop function. The espresso ma-
chine must be switched off manually as soon as the desired amount of espresso has been
brewed! Make sure that the espresso pot does not overow.
❐ Do not operate the device unattended so that you can intervene immediately in the event
of any malfunctions (e. g. overow of the lter etc.).
❐ Make sure that the water reservoir does not run empty if you are brewing espresso and
coffee at the same time. Switch the espresso machine off immediately if the pump gets
louder and only draws in air.
❐ Danger of scalding! Make sure that the steam power control on the side of the device is al-
ways turned off before you switch on the device! Otherwise hot steam could escape from
the nozzle in an uncontrolled fashion.
❐ Danger of injury! Parts of the device (e. g. the hotplate or steam nozzle line) will become
hot during use. Do not touch these parts during use!
❐ Danger of scalding! Never open the water reservoir and lter compartment cover during
use! Hot steam or hot spray water may escape.
❐ The coffee machine has a non-drip valve which only works in combination with the glass
coffee pot which is supplied with the device. Do not attempt to place other vessels under
the coffee discharge opening or to manipulate the non-drip valve in any way.
❐ Danger of scalding! The steam emerging from the steam nozzle is hot! Always hold a vessel
under the steam nozzle when you activate it. Keep body parts away from the jet of steam!
❐ Danger of injury! When frothing milk or heating up liquids, always turn up the steam power
control slowly so that the respective liquid in the container does not shoot out of the
container in an uncontrolled fashion!
❐ If you want to brew coffee, you should make sure before switching on the device that
there is enough water in the water reservoir and that the permanent lter has been
inserted correctly and lled with coffee. This is the only way to ensure that the device will
work properly!
❐ If you want to brew espresso, you should make sure before switching on the device that
there is enough water in the water reservoir, the portalter has been correctly lled with
espresso and inserted into the device correctly.
❐ Danger of scalding! Be careful when you want to remove the portalter from the device
and remove the espresso powder. The portalter and espresso powder will still be very
hot after the brewing procedure!
❐ Danger of scalding! Always allow the permanent lter to cool down rst before you re-
move used coffee powder!
