Codonics Virtua User’s Manual 4-3
Sending Studies to Virtua
Manual.
Manual mode places all incoming jobs in the Studies list
as “new” jobs. The user can then select one or more studies for
recording to CD or DVD media from the Display touch screen
interface. Manual mode allows customization of studies, media
(CD or DVD), disc content (for example, inclusion of a DICOM
viewer), and disc label on a per job basis.
Default.
Default mode is used when the Called AE Title does not
match any Job Profiles. Default job options are the same as
Manual mode job options.
Specific settings associated with Auto and Manual modes can be
changed during the record procedure. A site can also create
additional custom Job Profiles. The device supports up to 100 Job
Profiles. Job Profiles are stored on the SmartDrive to simplify
transfer of settings when a device is swapped for service.
Major features that can be controlled with Job Profiles include:
Media type.
CD orDVD media.
DICOM Viewer.
Choices are None, Codonics Viewer (that is, the
Codonics Virtua Medical Image Viewer), or E-Film Lite.
NOTE:
The Codonics Virtua Medical Image Viewer is included standard with Virtua. E-Film
Lite is an optional feature that is sold separately.
Disc Auto-Run.
Determines whether the DICOM viewer will start
automatically when the disc is inserted in a Windows PC.
Media.
Determines the type of media on which to record the
study: CD, DVD, or Auto (let the system decide which type to use,
based on the job size).
Copies.
The number of disc copies can be set separately for
patient, referring physician, legal, and anonymous.
Label Design.
Choices are one of the provided standard label
designs, Ink Saver, or a custom design created and installed by
the site.
