TheCR4900windowshouldbecleantoallowthebestperformanceofthe

device.Thewindowistheclearplasticpieceinsidetheheadofthereader.

Avoidtouchingthewindow.YourCR4900usesCMOStechnologythatismuch

likeadigitalcamera.AdirtywindowmaystoptheCR4900from

reading

barcodes.

Ifthewindowbecomesdirty,cleanitwithasoft,non‐abrasiveclothorafacial

tissue(nolotionsoradditives)thathasbeenmoistenedwithwater.Amild

detergentmaybeusedtocleanthewindow,butthewindowshouldbewiped

withawatermoistenedcloth

ortissueafterusingthedetergent.

Tocleanyourreader,wipedownwithadampclothorclothwithmild

detergenttoremovedirtanddebris.Ifalsodisinfectingtheunit,usea

disinfectantfromyourreader’sapprovedlist(http://codecorp.com/assets/

followtheinstructionson

thedisinfectantpac kagingforproperuseand
