OPERATION
Figure 30. Front Panel, 9-Channel Duplex Color Multiplexer
Figure 31. Front Panel, 16-Channel Duplex Color Multiplexer
Refer to Figures 30 and 31 for views of the front panels. Monochrome front panels are the
same except for the word “Monochrome” instead of “Color” in the lower left corner.
The simplex panels are the same as the duplex except for the word “Simplex” instead of
“Duplex” in the lower left corner. Also, a DISPLAY/RECORD button replaces VCR/LIVE in
the upper left corner. The three modes of operation selected by pressing the DISPLAY/
RECORD button are RECORD, LIVE, and VCR. The LED illuminates in RECORD mode
only. When the LED is off, look at the upper left corner of the monitor to see if the multi-
plexer is in LIVE or VCR mode.
When video loss occurs on a camera—whether the title display is on or off – “NO VIDEO”
appears where the title should be and the red LED on the front panel for that camera
flashes.
Usually, “NO VIDEO” appears on a blank screen. Occasionally, “NO VIDEO” is super-
imposed over a frozen image when video loss is first detected. Switching to another
camera and back again blanks the screen except for the message.
